Cat® Certified Rebuild (CCR)
Professionals Rely On SUTRAC
Cat® Certified Rebuild (CCR)
When most competitive models would require replacement, SUTRAC equipment can be rebuilt to deliver a cost-effective second life. The extensive Cat®Certified Rebuild programs incorporate the very latest Cat technology and critical engineering updates into your machine at a fraction of the cost of buying new. As you’d expect, our quality standards are just as stringent the second time around – because only our trained service professionals and only Cat parts are used to complete a certified rebuild.
CCR determines the specific needs of a machine through a comprehensive evaluation before disassembly. CCR includes automatic replacement of approximately 7,000 parts, including hoses, belts, seals, gaskets, bearings, knobs, wiring, switches, and gauges. Also included during reassembly are critical technological and engineering improvements that have been made since original manufacturing. Rigorous testing is conducted at various stages to ensure the highest quality.
More than 350 tests and inspections are performed, including turbocharger boost, throttle response, stall speed rpm, transmission and steering clutch response, and hydraulic and pilot relief valve pressures. Frames are examined, straightened, reinforced, and welded, and worn linkage pins and shaft bearings are replaced. The engine, transmission, torque converter, and hydraulic systems are reconditioned.
The machine will perform like new – and look like new – after receiving a complete paint job with new identifying graphics. Cat Certified Rebuild only, is issued and comes with a like-new standard warranty where available.
Cat Certified Power Train (CPT)
CPT rebuilds restore your power train to like-new performance. The rebuild covers the radiator, engine, transmission, torque converter, final drive, and axle. Approximately 200 tests and inspections of power train components are performed, and approximately 3,000 parts are replaced or reconditioned, including power train electrical switches, sensors, sending units, electronic control modules, and engine wiring harnesses, bearings, gaskets, seals, and coolant hoses. The power train is rebuilt with critical engineering improvements and updates.
Cat Certified Engine Rebuild program (CER)
A Cat engine is the best investment in productivity you can make. But eventually, every piece of equipment reaches the end of its useful life. Through the Cat Certified Engine Rebuild program, a member of the Cat C-series, 3400, 3500 and 3600 engine families can be rebuilt for a second life at a fraction of the cost of an engine replacement.
Advantages :
There are many economic and performance advantages to the Cat Certified Engine Rebuild program. Rebuild specifications meet all Caterpillar standards, providing the kind of quality you have grown to expect. SUTRAC service professionals perform these rebuilds at our local main workshop, using only Cat parts. These parts are built to exact tolerances and undergo rigorous testing to ensure reliable performance. These Cat Certified Engine Rebuilds also come with extended service coverage options, the latest required updates and optional performance enhancement upgrades.
The Process
1
Inspection and Evaluation
This vital first step is a thorough process during which we develop a customized rebuild plan and cost estimate for you. The specific needs of your engine are determined through a comprehensive evaluation.
2
Disassembly
Once the rebuild plan is established, your engine will be completely disassembled. The parts will be inspected and measured against our strict reusability guidelines. Those parts that do not meet our high standards will be replaced with new Cat parts.
3
Reconditioning
This phase of the process addresses equipment needs not typically included in an engine overhaul.
4
Engineering updates
During reassembly, your engine will receive any required updates and your choice of optional performance enhancement upgrades that have occurred since your engine was originally manufactured.
5
Reassembly
Our professional technicians will carefully and completely reassemble your engine.
6
Testing and validation
Following the original commissioning procedures of the rebuild process, the engine will be retested and re-commissioned.
7
Customer evaluation
The rebuild process is not considered complete until your operators are satisfied with the performance of your engine in its working environment.
